North of England’s Interserve carer stays with client during quarantine

Interserve Healthcare’s Elizama Silva voluntarily stayed with her client Gill Cullen during a two-week quarantine so she could provide round-the-clock care after Gill developed COVID-19 symptoms and had to self-isolate.

Gill, who has multiple needs including cerebral palsy and only has the use of one arm, is one of a hundred patients cared for by Interserve Healthcare in the North of England.

Healthcare Assistant Elizama Silva, who has been working with Gill since November, provides line-in support ranging from helping with domestic tasks through to supporting Gill with her personal care, getting her out of bed and administering the medicines which Gill needs.
